Joanne Lamoureux, Owner
It didn't take long for me to figure out that I had found really meaningful work as owner of a small packing and shipping business. Some of my first customers brought items to ship that were not just "things", but very meaningful items that were a significant part of their lives. I realized that I was taking responsibility for the security of a family heirloom, the product of long hours of work, or a carefully chosen gift. We help figure out how to keep their important things safe and secure, and to get where they are going in a timely manner. Sometimes the responsibility is daunting (when the item is truly irreplaceable), and sometimes it is more routine. No matter what, it is at the true heart of what we do on a daily basis.
Sometimes I like to say that my business is a bit like "Cheers” - A place where everybody knows your name, where friendships extend across the counter.
We have customers who have been with us since the day we opened. They have seen us through three name changes (!), had our back as we struggled to become an independent store, and cheered us on when we succeeded. We have, in turn, been with them through their life changes. We watch their children grow up and become our friends on Facebook! We commiserate when things aren't going so well, and celebrate when they are. We are friends in a truly unique way.
